Refund Policy
Last updated [date — to be confirmed]
This policy explains when we refund a Prooff subscription. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
In short: try before you pay — every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, no card required. If you pay and change your mind quickly, you get your money back. If you cancel part-way through a period you have already paid for, you keep access until the end of it, but we do not refund the remainder.
1. When we refund
Your first payment within 14 days, an unwanted renewal within 14 days if you have not used the Service since, and anything that went wrong on our side.
1.1 Your first payment on a plan — 14 days
If you are unhappy with the Service, we refund your first payment on a plan in full if you ask within 14 days of that payment. You do not need to give a reason.
This applies to the first monthly payment and to the first annual payment alike.
1.2 A renewal you did not intend — 14 days
Subscriptions renew automatically. If a renewal is charged and you did not mean to continue, we refund it in full if you ask within 14 days of the charge and you have not used the Service since it was charged.
We would rather refund an unwanted renewal than argue about it — tell us and it is done.
1.3 Our fault
If the Service is materially unavailable or broken for a sustained period through our fault, and we cannot put it right, we refund the affected part of your subscription.
1.4 If we end your subscription
If we terminate your subscription for convenience under clause 12.3 of the Terms, we refund the unused portion of the period you have paid for.
1.5 Where the law requires it
Nothing in this policy limits a refund right you have under mandatory law.
2. When we do not refund
The unused part of a period you cancel, a renewal you have already worked in, downgrades, and unused capacity.
- The unused part of a period you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. You keep full access until then, and the subscription does not renew. We do not refund the remainder — for example, cancelling in month four of an annual plan does not refund the remaining eight months.
- A renewal you have already used. If you have worked in the Service since the renewal was charged, clause 1.2 does not apply.
- Downgrades. Moving to a cheaper plan part-way through a period does not refund the difference; the new plan and price take effect at your next renewal.
- Unused capacity. We do not refund seats, storage or projects you paid for but did not use.
- Termination for breach. If we suspend or terminate your access because you breached the Terms, fees already paid are not refunded.
3. How to request a refund
Write to us from the email address on the account. We answer within 2 business days; the money comes back through Paddle in 5–10 business days.
Write to admin@prooff.app from the email address on the account, and tell us which Entity and which charge you mean.
- We reply within 2 business days and, where the refund is due, approve it at the same time.
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Because subscriptions are sold by our reseller Paddle.com Market Ltd as merchant of record, the money is returned through Paddle, and their processing typically takes 5–10 business days to reach your bank or card. You can also contact Paddle directly using the link on your receipt.
- Subscriptions invoiced by us and paid by bank transfer are refunded by bank transfer to the account the payment came from.
Please talk to us before starting a chargeback. A chargeback takes weeks, costs us a fee on top of the amount, and can suspend your Entity while the bank investigates. If a refund is due under this policy, asking us is faster and always works.
4. What happens to your data after a refund
A refund ends the subscription. Your content stays available for export for at least 30 days, and may be deleted after that, as described in clause 12.5 of the Terms of Service and in our Privacy Policy. Export anything you need before that window closes.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy at any time. The version published on this page is the one in force, and the “last updated” date above shows when it last changed. The policy in force when you paid is the one that applies to that payment.
6. Contact
Refund requests, billing and anything contractual go to admin@prooff.app. Questions about how the product works go to support@prooff.app.
